Despite the partying going on next door, I finished the book I was reading - Moonshine by Rob Thurman (
robgoodfella). And almost exactly a year ago, I was in the same position I find myself in now (with Thurman's first book, Nightlife): me likey, where's my damn sequel?
A year away, that's where. And after that, another year. I foresee a pattern of temporary despondence, recurring every March/April for however long this series lasts.
Sign of a keeper, ne?
And while I'm on the subject of book recs, another urban/contemporary dark fantasy (the gritty kind, with guns and nasty doings and weird shit): Caitlin R Kiernan's Daughter of Hounds was real shiny. Don't recall if I mentioned it before.
