In which there are divers alarums

Do not be alarmed, gentle readers...

As you may or may not have noticed, I've been messing with the look of this thing. I think I've found a style I like, but feel free to tell me if the colours hurt your eyes or whatnot - nothing worse than the social faux pas of mixing hot pink with neon yellow stripes :).

And I now have much space for icons! *giggles maniacally*
