Mar. 25th, 2009 11:14 pmThere's a map of the London Underground at the uni's poster sale, and I spent some time trying to explain to a co-worker why I wanted it in case a game of Mornington Crescent should happen to break out. This involved trying to explain why anyone would play a pointless game with no/infinite rules, the purpose of which is partly to frustrate and confuse newbies.
Eventually an inevitable comparison popped up, so I had to say it. "It's kind of like The Game."
"...oh, screw you."
Mine is an evil laugh. (He then phoned a friend in Canberra to let him know he'd just lost The Game again. As good mates do.)
The Game: like Boomshine, in a way.
