Galaxy Books is a drug dealer, or at least an enabler. I went in there to buy one - one! - book (The Lies of Locke Lamora by
scott_lynch). Instead, I came away with *four* books and a DVD (the aforementioned Locke Lamora, Jonathan Stroud's Amulet of Samarkand, Michael Swanwick's Iron Dragon's Daughter, Charles Stross's Atrocity Archives, and The Fearless Vampire Killers).
Notice how most of the books are by authors beginning with "S". This should tell you something of the dangers involved in glancing at other shelves when finding a book.
Also, I have clearly been out of Sydney too long, because I was bailed up by a charity campaigner while waiting for the lovely
meganina, and forgot to ignore him. This was a Dreadful Mistake. In future I shall claim I cannot fill out forms or sign up to anything due to my deeply-held personal beliefs1.

1 i.e., the belief that I shouldn't be pressured into filling out a form. Possibly post-anarchistic in nature.
